In October 2021, Civil Non-Government Association ILIAKTIDA coordinated various creative, educational and entertaining activities for the beneficiaries hosted in Safe-Area Lesvos, in the framework of the program \u201c\u039c\u0395R\u0399\u039c\u039d\u0391 \u2013 Safeguarding children at Greek border points” funded by the European Union<\/a> – #DGHOME<\/a> and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The October activities were divided into six categories and aimed to stimulate the minors\u2019 imaginativeness and observation, in order for them to express their creative talents:<\/p>\n

  1. Scale modeling.<\/li>\n
  2. Music learning by a certified musician.<\/li>\n
  3. Making handcrafted soaps.<\/li>\n
  4. Drawing, painting and design with the guidance of a graphic designer (ILIAKTIDA\u2019s personnel).<\/li>\n
  5. Decorating, repairing and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n
  6. Board\/teamwork games.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All the unaccompanied minors \u2013refugees and applicants of asylum\u2013 participated in the activities and enjoyed the initiatives. The intent was to occupy their leisure while learning about the importance of team spirit and respect of diversity, with the support of ILIAKTIDA\u2019s staff who guided and supported them throughout these activities.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
